We start between the modern glass facades of Sanhattan and stroll through green parks. We take the cable car up to Cerro San Cristobal to enjoy our first breathtaking view of the city. We descend on the historic funicular before crossing the lively Bellavista district. We continue through the shady Parque Forestal into the heart of the city, where the bohemian quarter, old churches and charming shopping arcades await us. We climb the Cerro Santa Lucia for another spectacular view of the city center and the surrounding mountains. We then visit the Mercado Central, Santiago’s traditional fish market. Finally, we follow the green belt along the Mapocho River to the Parque de la Familia, where we end the day in a relaxed manner.
